Great Lakes Dance Academy invites dedicated dancers to audition for our programs for the 2026–2027 season.
These auditions are for:
Dance Crew
Intensive Study (including the new IS Ballet program)
Dance Company (Full Time Competitve team)
Placement is based on technical readiness, commitment, work ethic, and overall program fit.
Audition Day Schedule

9:00 – SIGN IN (please register in advance if possible. See button above)
9:15–10:00 AM — Ballet
10:00–10:15 AM — Break
10:15–10:45 AM — Tap
10:45–11:00 AM — Break
11:00–11:45 AM — Acro
12:00–12:30 PM — Lunch Break
12:30–1:15 PM — Hip Hop
1:15–1:30 PM — Break
1:30–2:00 PM — Jumps & Turns *** Dance Crew dancers do not need to attend the Jumps & Turns audition.
2:00–2:15 PM — Break
2:15–3:00 PM — Jazz Combination
3:00–3:15 PM — Break
3:15–4:00 PM — Contemporary / Lyrical Combination
Parent Information Meeting
A parent information meeting will take place from 9:15–10:15 AM during the audition day. This meeting will cover important dates, program expectations, competition information, schedules, and training opportunities for the upcoming season.
Additional Information
- Dance Crew dancers do not need to attend Jumps & Turns auditions.
- We hope to offer Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop Crew groups this season. Dancers interested in Contemporary/Lyrical or Ballet are also encouraged to audition so we can place students in the program best suited to their goals and training.
- Audition Fee: $35
