What I’m Thankful For

I’m thankful for the moments that test me. Not the highlight reel, but the late nights, the tough conversations, the moments when I had to dig deeper than I wanted. Because that’s where the growth lives.

GLDA has given me a front row seat to that kind of growth.

I’m thankful for the community we build, families who show up, teachers who pour themselves in, students who try, stumble, learn and try again. The mix of personalities means some days sparkle and some stretch us thin. I’m grateful for both.

I’m also grateful for every staff member who’s crossed our floor. Those who stayed, those who moved on, each of them shaped who we are today.

And honestly, the hard seasons have been some of the most instructive. They force clarity, sharpen purpose and make the small wins feel huge.

If you’re reading this and expecting a tidy list of wins, here’s the real list instead: persistence, patience, repair, resilience. That’s the gift.
